Guthrie Jones & Jones Dolgellau
Is an attractive medieval town which has its origins in the woollen and ship building industry, and had a strong Quaker tradition. It is situated at the beginning of the Mawddach Trail within the Snowdonia National Park and is a centre for walkers and climbers of Cader Idris. For cyclists, the Coed y Brenin mountain bike centre offers the ultimate adrenalin rush.
Apart from tourism, the tradition is agriculturally based. The town has a strong folk music tradition and each July hosts Sesiwn Fawr in the square and the pubs surrounding. It boasts excellent restaurants and tapas bars.
