Fundraisers have raised over £19,000 to save Neuadd Buddug in Bala. The Neuadd had been shut for a over a year until local fundraisers and donations were able to raise over £15,000 for a new digital projector. The Arts Council of Wales has also provided a grant and the historic Neuadd has now reopened. Guthrie Jones and Jones’ Nansi Thirsk, chair of the Friends of Neuadd Buddug, said: “We are most grateful to all in Bala and Penllyn, and indeed further afield, who have supported the campaign – over £19,000 has been raised in 12 months.”
